Most straightforward cases are cleaned, sealed and finished in one longer appointment rather than three visits.
Multi-Rooted Molars
Back teeth have three or more canals and take longer. Magnification and rotary instruments make the cleaning thorough.
Re-Treatment
Where a previous root canal has failed or reinfected, the old filling is removed and the canal system retreated.
Crown After RCT
A root-treated tooth becomes brittle. A crown wraps and protects it, and is strongly recommended for back teeth.
It Is Not the Procedure People Fear
The reputation of root canals comes from the toothache that precedes them, not the treatment itself. The tooth is fully numbed before we start; most patients say it felt like a long filling. Some tenderness for a day or two afterwards is normal and settles with ordinary pain relief.
